Skip to contentSee below for several steps to getting the furnace to work:
- Do you have propane and is it turned on?
- Confirm by turning on a stove-top burner.
- If the burner wont light that means there is no propane flowing.
- Thermostat settings correct?
- It’s set to Furnace/Heater
- FAN set to auto
- Temp gauge is set to desired temp
- Thermostat have power?
- Check fuse in panel breaker box – These are the small 12 volt DC automobile style fuses
- 12 Volt power present (car style battery on camper) ? Check lights, fresh water pump, slide-outs, leveling jacks
- If no power then you need to plugin to shore power, running vehicle or generator to charge the 12 Volt battery.
- Blower Runs but no ignition
- Low battery voltage – plugin to shore power, running vehicle or generator to charge the 12 Volt battery.
- Propane off or low –
- How the furnace works:
- Blower motor runs for 15-30 seconds to purge burn chamber of propane
- Attempts to light 3 times. Spark, Spark, Spark then a pause. Does this 3 times
- Blower speed tuns at about 75% before flame comes on
- Blower cycles on 4-6 times and hour or more
- Blower runs 45-90 seconds after flame turns off to purge burn chamber and get all the heat out.
- Misc:
- Furnaces can have operational issues in high altitude areas.
- If clean air return is blocked issues can occur
- High temp limit switch may have been tripped. Furnace needs to cool for 60-90 minutes.
- Loose wires. Connections can come loose during travel.
- Dirty circuit board.
- Dirty Igniter probes
